🌻 I’m heavily involved in the Milton and Chittenden County community, and one of my favorite places to give back has been People’s Kitchen, a free food distribution program serving unhoused folks—and anyone who is hungry!—in City Hall Park.
I loved this work so much that I helped start and now help organize a hot food distribution program out of the Milton Family Community Center called the Milton Kitchen Collective, where we serve and deliver hot meals every other month.
🌻 I’m also the Vice Chair of Milton Pride, because LGBTQIA+ rights are very near and dear to my heart, and I strongly believe that there should be a welcoming and inclusive place for everyone in Milton.
🌻 My perspective on education and community service comes from years of experience supporting people through life’s challenges and from being an active member of my community. I believe learning should be creative, inclusive, and empowering, and that strong communities are built when neighbors help one another, share resources, and make space for everyone to belong.
These values guide my work in afterschool programming, food access, and community initiatives, and inspire me to create opportunities for connection, support, and growth for all ages.
